Emerging Leaders in Neuroscience

Goals of this initiative:

  • Support senior postdocs/early career scientists by providing a platform to present their research and network with BMRI faculty and trainees
  • Particularly interested in supporting scholars from underrepresented backgrounds

Eligibility: Nominees must be

  1. Late-stage postdoc or non-independent scientists currently applying or planning to apply for faculty jobs this year, OR
  2. Early career scientists (Assistant Professor or equivalent) who transitioned to independence in the last 2 years

Note: Postdoctoral fellows not entering the academic faculty job market are not eligible.

Nomination materials:

  • Nomination form
  • Current CV or NIH Biosketch, up to 5 pages
  • Talk title and research summary/abstract (up to 350 words)
  • Optional: may include one figure illustrating the most significant results of your research (graphical abstract)

Nominations for the 2023-2024 lecture series will be open from May 15th, 2023 through July 1st, 2023.
