CTNU Research Opportunities

We are actively recruiting residents and fellows interested in pursuing gap year clinical research opportunities in the field of neurology. Our program consists of students in all stages of their medical careers who work under the supervision of our highly accomplished principal investigators. Dr. Hooman Kamel and Dr. Babak Navi have a track record of strong leadership and mentorship among the Weill Cornell community. Those who matriculate into the Weill Cornell/NYP Neurology Residency Training Program and Neurocritical Care and Vascular Neurology Fellowship programs will have many opportunities to join in on our research during their training.

Dr. Gino Gialdini

Dr. Gialdini received an M.D. from the University of Pisa Medical School in October 2008 and joined the neurology residency program at the same university June 2009. During the last year of his residency (2013), Dr. Gialdini joined the BMRI working with Drs. Kamel, Navi and Iadecola. He is interested in the diagnosis, pathophysiology, and treatment of ischemic stroke, in particular, in the relationship between atrial fibrillation and stroke.
