The Institute utilizes 45,000 square feet of research space. Our laboratory space includes 21,000 square feet in the brand new Belfer Research building, 19,000 square feet in the recently completed Feil Research Building, and additional space in the main medical complex of Weill Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Although research activities are grouped according to scientific topic and programmatic needs, BMRI investigators are also in close proximity to researchers working in other fields, such as immunology, cancer biology, molecular imaging, bioinformatics, and drug discovery, which facilitate cross fertilization and interdisciplinary collaborations.
