| Abstract | The oxytocin receptor has long been considered critical for social bonding and parenting in prairie voles. In this issue of Neuron, Berendzen et al.1 show that oxytocin receptor-null prairie voles display normal bonding and parental behaviors, thus challenging the prevailing understanding of the receptor's role in these behaviors. |
